- In 1946, we moved into our storefront location on 2nd St. in Barberton.
- In 1948, we began installing and servicing forced air furnaces.

- In 1951, we purchased the first duct cleaning system from the Kalamazoo Furnace Manufacturing Company.

The Next Generation
- In 1954, Richard J. Blind, Sr., son of John W. Blind became President of Blind & Sons Heating and Cooling.

- 1957 began the “GOLDEN ERA” of air conditioning.
- Today, we think of cooling our home as a normal everyday occurrence. That wasn’t always the case.

We All Know That Voice
- We all know that voice…” Call 753-7711…”
- In 1974, once again on the cutting edge of the HVAC industry, we began our radio campaign that include the sometime “infamous” phone number jingle.

The Third Generation
- In 1987, Richard J. Blind II, son of Richard J. Blind Sr., became President of Blind & Sons Heating and Cooling.
- Our current President, Bill Blind, took the helm in 1992. He still leads us today!

Today’s Location
- We moved into our current location on 4th Street in Barberton, formerly a Kroger grocery store, in 1975.
- This move allowed our company to continue to grow.

Expanding the realm of Service
- In 1996, we formed our Indoor Air Quality Division. Our services include duct cleaning, humidifiers and air cleaners, just to name a few.
- In 2001, we formed our Plumbing Service Division. We are able to handle the simplest of jobs such as replacing a faucet to larger tasks such as completing an entire bathroom remodel project.
- In 2004, we formed our Electrical Division. We service outlets, lighting, surge protectors and generators, and much more.
