Dear Mr. Blind,
We called your company in June to set up an appointment for an estimate to replace our old equipment. The lady that handled the call was very pleasant and after asking a few questions wanted to know when we were planning to purchase. I told her soon and she said if it was ok she would put me on hold to try to reach the Norton salesman and set up the appointment. We needed early and he came in on Wednesday.
When Rick arrived we spent time answering his questions and he answered ours. When we sat down for his recommendations and estimate he asked if we still wanted an estimate on a generator. We said yes and he said he had talked to Jim that morning and he would be able to come. Rick called Jim and was here in a matter of minutes. Jim looked everything over and asked questions, making recommendations and gave us our estimate. Both men made us comfortable with their immediate knowledge of what we wanted to buy and there was no high pressure tactics. We told Rick we were getting another estimate because of what we wanted to buy. That proved to be an adventure into nothingness! Rick made a follow-up call to us on Thursday. We met him at the business on Saturday and he patiently showed us everything and answered a few more question. He was patient and didn’t rush us. When he asked what he could do to get the order we were happy to sign. He set up the install date while we were there.
On June 22nd we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw truck after truck and the number of people that arrived at the same time! After we asked and answered a few more questions my husband left to take care of our customers and I left for an appointment. I returned first and was amazed at how much had already been done. It was something to see with work being done inside and out. It was important to me to have the A/C running if at all possible the first day because I have asthma. Dave made the extra effort to have it running Thursday even though they would return the next day because of the amount of work they needed to do. When Dave left for the day (I think it was 6:30 or later) after going up and down steps and working outside in 86-degree humid weather he was still considerate and pleasant. On the other hand, I was the one that was “wired”!
The electricians were great! The old was a mess! Monday the generator installation was completed. I believe the young man’s name was Bud. He showed me how to set the self test time and answered a few questions. He told me not to be concerned about the operation of it and the instruction book would answer any questions or we could call. Comfortable feelings again.
Dave returned on Tuesday to do the final checks on the system and make a few changes to the dehumidifier that I wanted. He did not get to finish all the work on Friday because he was called to help someone out. He made sure everything was ok here Friday until he could come back. Again, he was here very late. The good doctor is leaving – all is well!
Rick was here several times during the install. (Including the morning of install start) He made phone calls to let us know some additional work would need to be done by the electrician. This was not a problem. He would rather not get anything done at the time if it may cause trouble later. Also worked on the dehumidifier changes I wanted.
Everyone did a good job. Dave D deserves some extra attention (I guess the word is recognition) because he was here so late. He even redid the concrete at an outside connection because he didn’t think it dried right. All the men were patient, considerate and pleasant.
Your company kept our old system running for many years although the previous owners had used other companies. It was pointed out to us previously that the system needed replaced but it wasn’t the right time and no one pressured us. We always received fast courteous service.
We wanted you to know how satisfied we are with our installation and the timely manner it was completed.
We also wanted you to know what a positive image the many people that were here representing Blind & Sons left with us.
Sincerely,
Gayle & Larry
